The woodworking industry in India is one of the fastest growing segments in the country’s economy. Much of this growth is fueled by the huge demand in the domestic market and access to modern machinery to meet this demand.

Post India's entry into the WTO, there is a noticeable shift towards mechanized mass production to bridge the demand supply gap. Over 3000 woodworking units have already mechanized & the number is growing. Technology up-gradation & capacity expansion is a strong focus area today for the woodworking units in India.
